The Monroe Township Maintenance Department has responsibility for maintaining 30 miles of township roadways including more than 17 miles of platted streets. During the winter months, this Department also plows the snow on the Monroe Township roads.
In addition to their responsibilities for roadway maintenance, the Maintenance Department maintains:
- Five cemeteries located throughout the township
- 24+ acres of playground area, park, and preserve lands within the township
- The Monroe Township Building in downtown Tipp City
- Maintenance facilities on Michaels Road and at Maple Hill Cemetery
Maintenance Supervisor Kirk Thuma has two full time maintenance employees and three seasonal (summertime) maintenance employees working with him.
